Assistant Offshore Technician

Reports to: Contract Supervisor

Location: Great Yarmouth, UK

Closing Date: 02/09/2019

Unity are looking for two Assistant Offshore Technicians to join Unity to work on an Ad Hoc basis. The main function of these positions is to perform preventative maintenance and repairs for wellheads and valves, including the servicing and repair of associated equipment.

You will need:

  • to possess and demonstrate competence in all aspects of offshore and onshore operations.
  • to have good communication and writing skills.
  • the ability to liaise with a multi-disciplined team.
  • a thorough understanding of mechanical concepts and tooling.
  • a thorough understanding of regulatory offshore and onshore certification.
  • a good understanding of logistics of manpower and equipment.
  • a willingness to adapt to client’s requirements and operating policies.
  • to be a good team player and also able to work independently and use initiative.

Applications Engineer

Reports to: Engineering Team Lead

Location: Aberdeen, UK

Unity are looking for an enthusiastic and highly driven Applications Engineer to drive the commercialisation and delivery of Unity technology. This role would involve liaising with clients and ensuring that there is seamless integration between Sales, Operations and engineering.

The Applications Engineer will be involved in all aspects of engineered projects, ensuring that they are being designed in accordance with customer requirements, creating the technical and operational documentation, organising and running deployment of equipment and the training of field engineers. The right candidate needs to be highly motivated, organised, disciplined and able to work under pressure. Due to the range of products that Unity provide, employees will be gain valuable experience in a variety of engineering challenges as part of a small dynamic team.

The following is essential:

  • 5-10 years’ relevant experience essential in wellhead/xmas tree/surface equipment, or mechanical/hydraulic equipment.
  • Minimum 3 years offshore experience.
  • Degree or HND qualified in relevant discipline.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as leading a team.
  • Hands on/workshop experience building and testing equipment.
  • Able to manage project deliverables on time.
  • Proficient in performing engineering calculations.
  • Experience with rapid turnaround on projects (e.g. 2-4 months from design to delivery).

Procurement Administration Assistant

Reports to: Procurement and Supply Chain Manager

Location: Great Yarmouth, UK

Unity are looking for a fixed term contract Procurement Administration Assistant (contract duration: approx.10 months) to assist in the procurement of services to achieve cost effectiveness and optimum quality, and to provide general and HR administrative support to the Great Yarmouth base.

The following is essential:

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant administration experience, ideally within procurement or finance
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Good team player and sound interpersonal skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and good understanding of IT systems
