QV Tie Down Bolts
Tie-down bolts are used through the wall of a casing-head or tubing-head connection to lock down hangers or energise seals. Unity’s QV tie-down bolt is designed to provide enhanced sealing functionality.
Our new design consists of an internal packing element that gives a greater sealing footprint as well as a backup outer seal ring, which acts as an independent contingency. The outer face seal assembly can be changed without disturbing the main packing element and the packing element can be re-torqued during service to ensure continued seal integrity. An additional sealant pumping port feature can be added if required. Our tie-down bolts are fully hydrostatic and gas tested and are designed and independently verified to API 6A, with a range of benefits.
