Unity and NNW, Inc. Announce Partnership to Deliver Well Integrity Solutions in the USA

Unity and NNW, Inc have entered into a strategic partnership to expand well integrity solutions in the United States. Under the agreement, NNW will provide local expertise and deployment support while Unity will supply its advanced integrity technology.
The collaboration also aligns with the opening of Unity’s first office in Houston. Equipment from Unity’s Aberdeen headquarters will be shipped to the US for deployment in the coming weeks. The move builds on Unity’s recent entry into the Asia-Pacific market earlier this year and highlights the company’s focus on global growth.
Unity plans to continue investing in US operations, including the addition of new personnel over the next 12 months. Unity’s Regional Manager Thomas Bruce will oversee operations across North and South America, with particular attention to the Gulf of America, offshore California, Trinidad and Tobago, and East Coast Canada, focusing on fields with dry wellheads.
With operators in the US under pressure to extend the life of existing assets, balance costs with efficiency, and manage the challenges of aging offshore infrastructure, Unity and NNW will provide fast access to well integrity solutions. Together, they will enable operators to overcome obsolescence, ensuring regulatory obligations can be met in accordance with expectations.
A cornerstone of this joint offering is the Compact Intervention System, which is particularly well suited to the conditions in the region. The system is designed to enable quick production restoration where downtime impacts operations. It is lightweight and modular, requiring less offshore deck space, reducing people on board, and enabling efficient intervention on platforms with constrained capacity. It is optimized for aging assets, restricted wellheads, brownfield well intervention activities, and plug and abandonment activity – all critical focus areas for operators across the defined area.
In addition to intervention services, the partnership also brings engineered solutions, with the ability to design new equipment for purpose, upgrade or repurpose legacy systems that are no longer in production. This includes supporting operators who face challenges from obsolete equipment, where Unity’s expertise in developing alternatives and life-extension solutions helps keep operations running efficiently.
Commenting on the expansion, Thomas Bruce said:
“Houston is a natural base for expansion in the Western Hemisphere. NNW already has a strong presence in the region, and together with Unity, we can combine local expertise with advanced intervention technology, and we bring complementary strengths to operators in the region. Together, Unity and NNW can enhance each other’s capabilities and serve the market with speed, flexibility, and confidence.”
Sommer B. Williams, CEO of NNW, Inc., added:
“It became clear early on that NNW and Unity align on a critical component of our business: we both combine the expertise and sophistication of a large corporation with the agility and personalized service of a small business. In today’s industry, that balance is more important than ever.”
The establishment of Unity’s US entity, and this strategic partnership with NNW, reinforce its commitment to offshore areas in the USA and provide operators with a local hub for comprehensive well integrity solutions, advanced engineering capabilities, and close, face-to-face customer support.
